Steel: W2, forged. Hollow ground with a scotchbrite finish. Tapered tang.

Hardness: 60 RC

Blade length: 4-1/2"

Total length: 9-1/4"

Blade thickness: a bit under 1/4"

Handle material: black and tan micarta

Fittings: stainless bolts

Very nice, I have always liked this style of yours. Clean lines and looks comfortable for the hand. Quick question, do you think going to a thinner stock would keep the knife still has handy? Maybe 5/32? Since it is hollow ground, I know the edge will be good and sharp.

Sorry for taking so long to answer...

I would make these anywhere from 1/8" to 1/4" thick. When I forge them, they come out all different thicknesses. When I grind them out of flat stock, I usually go with 5/32" to 3/16". I don't think the thickness makes much of a difference performance-wise.
