hunterjrg's Case giveaway **we have a winner**

I'm partial to blue!

I'm in, only because it seems like a mini-copperhead would be a wonderful knife in the pocket.

Count me in; love the traditionals but also carry current lockblades; right now have a Benchmade grip attached to pocket and my Dad's old Kabar slipjoint in the pocket.

Wow, I won? Thanks! That's a beautiful knife and I'll take good care of it for you!

Great giveaway, hunterjrg! A blue mini-copperlock, searched out and given to one of my sons, precipitated my own (re)entry into the world of traditional knives-- it opened my eyes to how fine current offerings can be.

Congrats, jc57. How fitting, that this knife goes to a Case man. :-)

Congratulations jc57. The Case copperlock is a wonderful knife. It's really great when paired with a single blade wharncliffe trapper.

Like that pair in Second Cut Antique Bone you have posted a number of times? Yep, it's really a great pattern both for the pure aesthetics and for carry and use.

hunterjrg, normally I don't enter these because I do already have some nice knives, but that one is such a beauty that I couldn't resist.

I think to thank you that I'll have to start a "pay it forward" giveaway if I can find one of mine that is both worthy of gifting and that I can stand to part with. :)

Just wanted to report back in that the knife was waiting for me when I got home today! Gorgeous blue Mini Copperlock in like new condition. Sharp enough already without needing to touch a stone or strop, it's going in my pocket tomorrow for my daily carry!

But as pleased as I was with the Copperlock, imagine my surprise when I found that hunterjrg had included another knife as a "bonus" - this one is a Case 6333 Small Stockman, 1984 vintage, in brown jigged Delrin handles with as-ground stainless steel blades! This one was a bit more of a fixer upper but probably unbeknown to hunterjrg, I love taking older knives that may have seen some pocket time and getting them spiffed up and looking pretty again.

hunter, that bent clip blade is just about straight now after a little careful work with some needlenose pliers, and sharp enough for daily duty after some time on the diamond stones, though I still have some work to do on the other blades. But courtesy of a little Simichrome polish and some Renaissance Wax, and some Eezox and elbow grease, it's close to as pretty as the day it was bought, except for some kind of sticker residue on the clip blade that has resisted most chemicals I have available to me.

Once I get a chance I'll post up some pics, but if I do I'll bet you want that little guy back. I just wanted to thank you for the extra treat and a nice relaxing hour or so of knife restoring, and to call you out publicly for your additional kindness and generosity!!

Thanks again and I promise I'll put them to good use.!
