Measuring in at 9.5" OAL and .375" thick at the head this hunters axe is made from Aldo Bruno's 1075. The head is 57-58 Rc. The tang has been double torch drawn to a spring temper. The gut hook/ rope cutter has a chisel grind, the axes main edge is convex. The handle scales are Ironwood and the blade has been given my version of an etched finish I call my primeval finish. The kydex sheath has a felt lining to protect the finish.The total package weighs 1lb. 6oz. 70 percent of which is in front of the hand. I have found this design with the leading edge orientation excellent for quartering and even skinning large game...definitely quicker than a bone saw. A very handy tool to have around camp or even in the back 40. Thanks for looking. I accept checks or money orders.
