I have done a search for a Hunter specific thread and came up short, so I thought I would try to start one and see how it went.

If any of you out there like the design of the Hunter as much as I do, then show those beauties off! I will get things started with my lost love. This knife was stolen but it was a BEAUTY!

Bog Oak Hunter. Sorry the photo kind of sucks...

The Hunter was the second Fiddleback I scored after the Bushfinger. For me it's primarily used in the kitchen, although it does get out in the woods occasionally. Like most of my knives, it would probably be considered plain looking by Fiddleback standards, but that's the way I like them. I really like the spalting on it, which is a more important factor to me than fancy handle material.

I normally keep it polished. Using it in the kitchen of course gives it some patina that I routinely take off. Before and after some TLC:

Thurin, I have one that is close to the same age as yours. With about the same grind. However that spalting is much brighter than mine. Mine is also used in the kitchen and is very dirty now. A lot of patina has formed on it. Nice one thurin and thanks for posting it!

This is a new one I just got. 3/16 spalted 01 with Rosewood Burl inlay from Blade Show 2015...

Your double bolstered Rosewood looks great Brad!

Thank you my good man! I'm enjoying it, it was a great score for me!

Still miss my first Hunter.

You should definitely think about getting another. Andy has been making a few lately. There was a really nice black linen micarta that was sold 2 FF's ago that I missed out on...

One of mine .. the other is BEB of course. :)

You're a hog Hunter?!? Right on my friend. I'm actually licensed to do it professionally for control. Been hunting the pigs for over 20 years now. Nice to meet another hog Hunter!

That's a nice setup! I just ordered a Nighthawk 1911 in 10mm. I love a 1911 brother. You have excellent taste!

Yep. I have my own personal war going on with them on our ranch in south Texas. Right now I'm just using el cheapo gen1 NV, but it gets the job done. Thinking about switching over to a thermal scope. They hate it when things go bump in the night...;)
