Hunting Bowie

Here is a knife that would make a good hunter and has the time proven Bowie design. Small enough to carry with you in the woods on a day hike or a white tail hunt.

Forged 5160 steel
Flat ground
Distal taper, approximately 3/16 inch thick at the guard
Stabilized maple burl handle
Hand sanded finish to 600 grit
Overall length: 9 inches (does not include the lanyard ring)
Blade: 4 3/4 inches
Hand sewn leather sheath

GL that is a great design. Classic lines, a beautiful handle, that burled maple is something else. I love the sheath also.

My greatest critic (wife) says that my pictures don't show the blade well enough so here is an outside shot this morning. This might be better but I am a much better knife maker than I am a photographer.

Really gorgeous forged piece!

I like the lines on this knife and the burl is out-of-this world.

Are those brass spacers between red resin? They bring the blade back to more of a classic, old-school look.

Spacer material Big Cheese, common in knives, guns and bow riseres.

Received it today and I love it.

The thing I love about Mr. Drew's knives is that they are even better than they appear in the pictures.

Other knives appear great and don't live up to expectations once you receive them. The fit and finish on this knife is awesome like every other G. L. Drew knife I've purchased!!

I'm definitely keeping an eye out for other variations that catch my eye.
