Hunting gear: firearms

If I can get the .300 down to an inch I will be satisfied (or so I tell myself now !) :D

The .308... it has many many walked miles attached to it now. I have truly lost count of the amount of deer (it is well over 100 without doubt) this has put on the ground now. Then there are hogs, goats and other ferals....

Brand new rifle for the season!

A 308Win Sauer 100 classic xt and a meopta meopro 3.5-10×44RD scope:D

Tomorrow will be my first trip to the range..
Cant wait to test this baby out!

Still need too cut and thread the barrel for a silencer thoug.. But with a sudden rush of busse dings its earmuffs for now..

That's a beautiful rig, and it should be a tack driver. How is ammunition availability in Norway??? My German and Austrian 308's seem to prefer bullets in the 165-180 range. YMMV.

Thanks☺

Had a little low on gamepoint and fmj bullets in 17hmr this summer, only vmax to be had everywhere! But now shelves are stocked again.
Other than that ive seen no shortage of ammo for most regular calibers.

Got off a few rounds today, not as many as i would like.. Crowded on the range. But precision seems very promising!

Only had some cheap s&b 124grain fmj for zeroing
So going to be fun testing out some different ammo and bullet weights.

A little blurry but here is my .243

It's a remington model 7 with a take off barrel from an SPS screwed on. I am using handloads with 95gr Nosler ballistic tips, works well on deer and I harvested a wolf with it last year. I haven't chrony'd the loads yet but I can cover 3 shots with a nickel at 100yds. Works for me

This is the only picture I have of my .300SAUM

This one is a model 700 BDL. I am shooting 168gr Barnes TTSX at 2950fps. Mr Goat didn't like it very much.

My most accuarate rifle is one that I inherited from my gun collector uncle. It's a savage .223 with bull barrel and a ton of trigger work done to it. I can shoot FMJ back to back with BTHP and hit a trot line at 180 yards. But it weighs a TON to drag around the woods. My other favorite is my Savage 17 hmr; at 100 yards it's hard to beat! :) I actually prefer it to my 22lr's for killing power n accuracy. Btw, I have 2x henry .22lrs :)

My new Mossberg Predator mvp in 308 just killed it's first bear 2 weeks after I bought it brand new. One shot kill! Brother took it to Canada with him after his 30-06 decided to act up b4 the trip. I put my Leopold VXR 4-12x Firedot on it. He loves that scope!

Guns I own that I actually have not hunted, with yet is Armalite 338 lapua... initial site in has started. I put a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x 50 on it. The other is a American Series .270 with a Vortex Diamondback 3x9. They took away the white tail deer rifle season here in Iowa..... So instead I shoot coyotes, but you only get like $8 per pelt.

Sorry no pictures, but my phone camera took a crap after I got caught in a bad storm, and my other sony camera got broke tackling a new born calf who ran thru a fence and I had to save him.

All cleaned up double checked shot a few rounds today at 50 and 100 yards all good for this season.
