I am getting thin skinned in my old age I guess.
Aussies have not started to many wars that I can remember but we have sure bled with many of our allies over the years.
We celebrate "ANZAC" day down here with our Kiwi brothers and the focus is Gallipoli where so many died for such a futile operation.
The fact it was a terrible loss and defeat is not what is celebrated. (a Meat grinder in todays terms)
Its the way the soldiers fought on against all odds until evacuated.
When ever we have been called for help we have been there as history shows. It may only be in a small way but we are only a small country in terms of population.
