hunting knife

I’ve been carrying this for some time now. And have used it to dress a few wild boars, and a lot of rabbits. It’s a Winkler Knives II belt knife. I use this knife for a lot of different things, it by far the best knife I have ever owned. Its made of 5160 steel, The knife measures 9" overall.

Best heavy hunter for the money is the Blackjack Model 125 in micarta or stacked leather handle. Blade is .215 thick A2 tool steel with a convexed edge for easy maintenance.
I have one in stag handle (about $25 more than the micarta) that came sharper than any factory knife I've ever owned. 5" swedged drop point blade with half guard at 9.5" overall length.
They also come with an excellent leather sheath. Shop around a little and you can find one under $150. Not a custom, but they are hand made.

Lots of nice choices. Now only to pick one out and order it. I talked to Scott Gossman and I think I am going to order one of his knives. Anyone have anything to say about Scott? Im not looking for bad stuff about the guy I just want some references about his work.
Thanks
