Huntsman, circa 1982

I have a Huntsman that I got in about 1982 or so, and it seems smaller than the current ones I've seen in stores and lacks the package hook. What size are the current ones? What size might mine be?

I have a similar vintage Ranger SAK and I got the historical information from Smartknives.com. Go to http://www.smartknives.com/ and to Victorinox, 4 layer knives and it shows the current and vintage Huntsman SAKs.

Oh, so it's 91mm. I had assumed it was smaller. I guess I should have actually measured it myself!

Maybe I'll get some new scales for it and spruce it up.

well werent there some way back in the 60s-70's that were the 84mm??? size, but otherwise like the standard SAKs in appointments

-i know i had one long ago that was pretty much like a ranger in that size -no bail- just a little smaller-i really liked that size

i understand the hooks appeared 1991

Yes, I've got one that dates from Christmas 1969...funny how much more compact it seems, though on paper it's a very small difference...
