In the spirit of creepy critters...

Snapped this little bugger last year. Almost as big as my hand. It came in chasing christmas beetles. Caught one too!!! As scary as they look, they're fragile things. I once had one in my bed and it bit me on the elbow, I thought I'd popped a tendon it hurt that bad. Next day it ached like hell. They give you a fright when they appear on your car windscreen too. You go to get them off with the wipers and they stay put! Then you realise they're on the inside!!! Anyway....

Spiders as big as your hand, no thanks. Then in another thread Andy the Aussie is talking about rabbits that you need a 300 win mag to shoot. I dont think I like the critters that you guys have down under.

that spider looks like it is as big as my dog :eek: I would NOT want to find that fellow anywhere near me.
 
I don't have many phobias. Heights, confined spaces, darkness, snakes, etc. don't bother me.

But spiders? Just the thought of them makes my skin crawl. I freak out over spiders.
 
Wait.... You guys have huge spiders and rabbits you have to shoot with high powered rifles. I will be on a plane tomorrow. Just sounds like a good time.
 
Spiders don't scare me. It's all the venomous snakes.Taipans, browns, death adders, tigers, to many to mention. And I love snakes, I just happen to be ascared of em. Like to a comedic level....
 
If that was on my wall, its location would be mysteriously replaced with a hole that looks like it could have been made by 7 rounds of 9 pellet buckshot :D

I like Huntsmen... have lots of them wandering around here, I have had them cause me to do the spider dance when I find one I am not expecting (like walking up your arm after sticking it in the mail box) but once....ewwwww....... I had a female release her little ones up in a corner of the ceiling in the bedroom... imagine looking at what you thought was dust and then realising it was 100S of little tiny spiders..... :eek: :eek: :D

but.... its also scary that he was gonna video his number 2
 
A friend of mine was renting a room from an old lady in Bondi, she had a 'pet' Huntsman female with lotsa little ones... m friend said that the big female allowed him to pet her with his finger... :D
