I wish nothing but the best for all those in Dorian's way. I sincerely hope your sons and family members do not need their BOBs.Oddly enough after living in Melbourne FL for 35 years and riding out every hurricane from 1983 till july of this year, we had a employment opportunity in North Carolina (15 mins north of Hickory hence no where near the coast) we could not pass up.
I would say my Spyderco Maxim 2 and a large Camillus fighting knife. And one of my large caliber Glocks (10mm or .45)
BOB has knives and guns plus you know everything you possibly need and more.
I only hope it does turn as my two sons still live there and many other family members and close friends.
Won’t rule out my Buck 124 Frontiersman for my fixed blade.
Great for poking holes kind of like an ice pick.....And of course my Glock 19...has a very sharp front sight...
I tried to EDC a bomb shelter once...ended with a fold-up poncho and a bicycle helmet instead. The neighbors looked worried.Esse Junglas 2
And a bomb shelter
That will depend on the damage & if you live next to anything they want to get back on. Hurricanes can easily be 14 days before they get to me. Tropical storms 3-7 days. When they do get you back on you are ready to give the linemen a hug. Early Sept. will not be fun without power, even with a bit of generator. There will still be power outages, but they shouldn't last more than a day or two.
