Hurricane report

Still no news from Perry, no answer on his cell phone which is not uncommon.
I will try to keep updating.

Me and mine made it OK, power's out and looks like it'll be out for two to three more weeks. Probably the worst for me is not being ablt to get in the shop and fill orders. Got enough generator capacity to run house for a little while, but not the shop. Spent the first couple of days afterward cutting trees off the roads to clear them, next couple of days nailing shingles and tin back down. We were pretty fortunate here, no major building damage.

Glad to hear you came through fine Bruce, I haven't heard from Perry, but he lives in Gulf Coast doesn't he? He'll probably be without phone and power for a while even if nothing else was damaged.

Got to go, the house is cool, so it's time to kill the generator for a while.

This event will bring to the front the true character of the American people.
We have risen to the occasion many times in our history. I know we can do it again. Let each of us do what we can to help. Fred

Will, Good to hear you made it threw OK! I hope your generator is set up so it can't be stolen. I've heard from a friend of mine saying there one of the hottest items being stolen at this time.

Hey everybody, just letting everyone know Mr. Billy just called and said that Perry and his wife are fine. They are in Birmingham right now. They lost pretty much everything. They rode it out down there, Mr. Billy told me he had about four feet of water in the house, it blew the garage door off of his shop so you can imagine. Perry and his wife and two neighbors rode it out sitting on the kitchen counter to stay out of the water. He lost his car also, Perry said it was about $150,000 worth of damage all together. That is all I know right now, we are just all glad he is ok.

Thanks Guys, Bruce, I may have to come up and see you if I can get gas! I head back to the rig thrusday night, so I'm hoping the power will be back up by the time I get in.

Glad to hear Perry made it ok, though sorry to hear about his home and shop. Makes the forced vacation feel a little better when you think about how many people lost everything.

I'm not too worried about the generator, I've got mom and dad close by and we're protected by Ruger, Colt, Browning and Smith and Wesson security systems. :D

Will,Just let me know when you want to come up,Still some gas here, dont know for how long, but we do have gas...Email me

Perry and his wife are fine. My wife and I rode out the storm with Perry. We both lost all of our vehicles. We were in about 4 feet of water in Perry's house. Also lost most of our shops. Perry faired a little better than me he still has a shell of a house I have a FEMA trailor. I also just got internet service.Craig
