Need some ideas guys. Since we all love bacon, I thought I would solicit some recipes that use the good stuff for the Super Bowl tonight. Please post your favorites that would work for the game. You know, finger type foods and stuff. Thanks in advance.

wrap a dove breast in bacon with a jalapeno slice on top, put a toothpick thru it and throw it on the grill. yum

Get some good bacon, cook it up nice and crispy, coat it with melted milk chocolate. Heaven on Earth. Trust me,, it's life changing.

Pork loin on bottom, dump big bag of sour kraut on top. Cook about 1 -1.5 hrs then put a big pack of brats on top and put back in for another 1.5hrs on 350 degrees. I put it all in a turkey roaster with top on the whole time. It was killer:thumbup:

Or if you put a pork shoulder or some ribs in a smoker soon. It will be ready this evening just in time:)

Trevor, someone is going to think HEAD EAST is my favorite rock group cause I'm about ready to come over for lunch, DUDE the P-roast/kraut/brats look awesome!!!

Ritz crackers with cheddar cheese, wrapped in bacon and baked.

Lil' Smokies wrapped in bacon, sprinkle with brown sugar and bake on cookie sheet.

Big fan of the bacon wrapped bbq shrimp or bacon wrapped scallops...:thumbup: See "scallops" below:

3/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
12 large sea scallops, halved
12 slices smoked bacon, halved
24 toothpicks
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Stir together maple syrup, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard in a bowl until smooth. Add the scallops, and toss to coat. Cover bowl with plastic wrap, and marinate at least one hour.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with a sheet of aluminum foil.
Arrange bacon pieces on baking sheet so they do not overlap. Bake in preheated oven until some of the grease has rendered out of the bacon; the bacon should still be very soft and pliable, about 8 minutes. Remove bacon from the baking sheet and pat with paper towels to remove excess grease. Drain or wipe grease from the baking sheet.
Wrap each scallop piece with a piece of bacon, and secure with a toothpick. Place onto baking sheet. Sprinkle the scallops with brown sugar.
Bake in preheated oven until the scallops are opaque and the bacon is crisp, 10 to 15 minutes, turning once.

OK, You have to trust me on this. Everybody who tries these loves them and asks how to make them. Pickled watermelon rinds wraped in bacon. You need to start with the best bacon you can find, for me its Hormel black label. Pick a good meaty one. Then go to where the relish and pickles are and get a jar of pickled watermelon rinds. Most stores have them. They are in a sweet syrup almost like pineapples, dont be turned off. Then pick up some good toothpicks.
Cut the package of bacon in half and drop the whole thing in a good sized pan on med/low, this is to sweat off some of the fat not to fully cook it. You can spread each piece out but you dont have to just stir it around for a while untill about 1/3 cooked then remove to a paper towel. Now set the oven to 350, open and drain the rinds , dump them on a plate and cut the larger ones in half. Wrap each piece with your half piece of bacon, use the toothpicks to keep them together, put them on a cookie sheet with some tin foil for easy clean up and bake for about 20 to 25 min. keep an eye on them and pull em out when you like.
The watermelon rind gets sweet and sticky with the flavor of the bacon, every body will be asking about them trying to guess what it is and will be in shock when you tell them.

make up some meatballs and add finely chopped bacon in the mix.
make some "baco-queso" dip with a 2 lb block of "velveeta", quart jar of your favorite non-fruit salsa, and 1 cup chopped cooked bacon. then fry up some frozen ravioli or pierogies in the bacon grease for another side.

Aw man... I did some serious googling yesterday and stumbled upon this website.

I've already tried some of the recipes, and they are killer! Made the spicy pickle dip yesterday. Sounds weird, but it's damn good and almost as addicting as INFI.

For bacon, they have "bacon bourbon popcorn" and "bacon cheddar donut holes" LOL...

Anyway... tons of cool recipes here: http://sarahsprague.com/football-foodie-recipes/

Check it out...

:D

Thanks for all the ideas...gonna go with Spicy Chicken and Bacon Poppers and Chocolate Dipped Bacon (not my pics).

OMG. Everything posted looks so wonderful. I am starving now. Where's my frying pan?

I know this is late but a bacon cheese log is a killer too. Weave a pound of back like a fishnet bake it in the oven until almost done, take it out fill it with about a pound of cheddar then roll it up and wrap with foil back in the oven until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted. slice and feel your arteries hardening just looking at it. Kind of looks like a pecan log only bacon and cheese.
