Hybrid burners

I've not, but I have heard them spoken of very well by others. Jesus Hernandez uses one in his sword HT forge, for instance....

You could put a body in that forge.
I'm getting my materials together for my first forge which will follow a WIP on a Ellis forge with PID controls. While reading every stickie I saw these burners and was curious.

I have 2 of them and they are great! I have a 3/4" t-rex in a 20lb propane shell forge and I have the 1/2" shorty in a 2 brick forge.

I haven't used one, but from my reading and posts by others who use them, they are good. These are not cheap, however. You can build a complete blown burner for the price. As always, sizing the burner to the forge is necessary for a proper running forge.
