Hybrid Knife

That's a good looking hybrid. With the modern materials I think the screws fit in. If it had been with more traditional materials I would go with pins.
A Charlow with screws wouldn't look right.

I hope to see more hybrids from you in the future.

I think that it is a cool knife. It could be made with interchangable blades if you wanted. You could even make extra springs and liners so you could switch from single to double bladed if you wanted. There are endless possabilitys to a knife like this. Grandpa didn't have one but he might have liked to have one just the same.

I think it looks great. If I could afford a custom I would most definitely buy that. I would prefer a different color liner but that is just me.

Wow, I like that knife quite a bit. I prefer the original version posted, orange liners and all. What a cool concept.

I love it. I love the look and lines of traditional knives, but the other things that a more modern knife offers.. and this is just an amazing mix. =]
Now, offer it with a big enough nail nick to open it one handed, and that would be even more amazing.

love the top one, really think it bridges the gap.
I think it would look even better with metal (ti?) bolsters

I am way more interested in traditional than modern knives ordinarily, but this knife is beautiful. if I could justify the expence, I would buy it. what steel for the blade?

Love the knife, definitely wouldn't mind owning one myself. Still torn on the orange though, it pops out and draws attention to itself which I am not sure whether I like it or love it. Or whether a solid glossy black type of color would be what I prefer more as I think it draw attention but only if your looking at it. But I am also bias and generally avoid orange knives and love my darker colored knives. Love the torx bit pivot too, I always like the option of dissembling my knives to clean them up. I can't think of anything else as this was me really nit picking at everything. The mix of modern and traditional was executed very well, nothing looks out of place and it looks very classy.

I am just now seeing this! I love the screw together construction because I like to tinker with my knives. I will be getting one of these for sure!!

Those are both great renditions of the Lanny's clip. Traditional and "updated"; I like them both and would be proud to own either (or both). Beautiful work. One question, anybody know why this cover material was developed? EMP defense possibly?

I think I really like it but I'm not quite sure. You'd probably better give it to me for a year or ten to make sure.

Since I like and carry both traditional slipjoints and modern folders, I think this knife is a very interesting hybrid. Keep the disassembly option, and I love the silver LSCF. The colored liner adds a nice splash, although it could be argued which color would work best (anyone care for a ford vs chevy vs dodge argument while we're at it?).

Exquisite execution, too. I'd happily carry one.

Great knives, Enrique. Both are stunning. I would probably go with the "traditional" construction but only because I'm not overly infatuated with lock-back knives. I'm more used to slip joints, I guess. But both are beautiful and I'm sure I could get used to the lock-back version if that makes it any more affordable.

While both knives are beautiful, I much prefer the traditional pined construction. But one thing that I question on this knife, with the modern materials, does the bolster really fit in? I think the knife would be even better, cleaner looking, with a shadow pattern construction like the carbon fiber Case sodbuster. If modern materials are going to be used, why not take advantage of their properties and have a simpler and maybe stronger knife?

Carl.
