Are you sure about that? These are single stage pumps I’m looking at. So that flow rate is across all pressures. I think the pump you linked will be a little stout for my motor. I read @JTknives build thread and he used a 10 horse motor with a .92 displacement single stage pump.

I'm sorry, didn't catch that it was a single stage! yes I think you're right. You wouldn't want a single stage pump as fast as the one I linked anyway. I don't know if the one you linked (7 gpm with your motor) would be too fast under forging pressure or not, I'm concerned it would be though, but I haven't tried it either.

That is assuming my motor is 3450 rpm. If it’s only 1750 rpm, those speed numbers will be halved, and I’ll need to buy a bigger pump to make it run faster.

That's the kind of thing you want to figure out sooner than later.

Two inches per second is probably what you want.

I think you can go single stage.
