Hydraulic forging press plans.

Thanks guys. That calculator is great. Along with the Indian George's shopping list is what I need it to know.
Also Darren Ellis's website is great alot of stuff hard to find or overlooked by others. Smart people.

Don't forget to post a pic when you get it done.;):D:thumbup:

I will I got the book and I also got plans for a H frame (another one). Now tell you the truth. I like the C frame better: more freedom to move less space to use. I there a big deal if I build an C frame and not an H frame. I understand that the H is more resistant but a lot of people use the C with great success from what I could see. What do you think: please opinion H or C and with the "why":-)

Guys I also have a very nice plan to build a grinder I will let you know details later. I paid for it but it seems it was worth it.

I wanted to give a heads up. I found a 40 ton press for sale for 600.00 on craigslist in Numidia PA. Too far for me to travel but some of you east coast makers might be interested. I just googled craiglist 40 ton press and it came up....Gary

Hi IG - I had a quick question, I looked up the part number for the hydraulic pump (1053-C161) and Northern Tool website told me to just use the 1053 part. It came up with a 13GPM pump that says it requires a 6HP min. motor. I looked up an 11GPM pump and it was this item no: 1012. This one says it requires a 5HP motor.

Anyways, just wondering if yours was an 11GPM and the item number changed or if it was a 13GPM. Also if yours had a larger motor "requirement" than 3HP.
