Have been edcíng this delica size one for some time now and i can recommand it highly.
The slick Ti coating in combination with a high flatgrind and relative thin blade makes it a great slicer. Especially very good for kitchen paring duties next to normal edc ing. It has seen cardboard boxes vegetables clamp shells cords shrink foil pruning some plants etc etc.
Touches up easy . I think it will be a classic.
Grippy G10 comfortable in hand and inobtrusive in pocket. Easy to clean. Stuff won't stick to blade as easy as normal blade finishes, as the coating is slick.
yeah, I agree 100% w/ Maarten excellent review btw
the Hyper is sized perfect for suburban edc imho... the open frame design is ez to clean so it's great for food prep too; in hand traction i superb thanks to the jimping / grooves in "strategic places" on the handle/spine areas On days when i want to give the Trance a break and "go recurve", I reach for my PE Hyper
Some pix i posted in another thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=528636
Thanks everyone...um, Lycosa...did your Hyper come in yet? I finally managed to scratch mine very SLIGHTLY. I hung a can filled with water and took a random slash at it. Shoot, even aluminum didn't scratch it all THAT bad. I am really impressed by this Ti-Coat.
Be careful...one of my co-workers was holding a piece of paper by it's corner cutting the paper into strips with his Hyper. He managed to slice through his index finger, and had his finger made contact by about 1/4" of an inch more...he'd have sliced off a nice bit of flesh off his finger.
