Hypothetical… if you could only have ONE.

If you could only keep one. Choose wisely…

The AK 47 is a timeless model of swords similar to Battle Mistress for machetes in the world of Busse design cues.

Sorry, but no, IMHO. All of the Busse sword-like-objects are deficient in the machete role. The steep rise in edge angle precludes their efficiency in cutting light thin material. But that is OK, as they were not designed for a machete like purpose.

I meant AK 47 had the pinnacle busse design cues for their swords
Battle mistress had the pinnacle design cues for their machete size knife line.

Not saying AK 47 is was machete in any way. I do however tend to treat most Busses I own as machete’s regardless of size but that’s a different story.

My experience exactly.

I need a nice lively one-hander for clearing broomsage, honeysuckle, briars and such.

My 1311 is quite versatile and is serviceable in machete role...good, but not ideal.

Throw a dart... I could likely make do with any of these:

If we're fantasizing though...

...an Alpha Dog 7.2 in 3V would be a welcome addition to the family.

....after further handling this week, the choiless B10 has the most useful choil by far (since it's not there and you can choke up right up to the edge), followed by the Alpha Dog choil (best Busse choil design to date.... if you have to have one), the rest are just too far away from the guard.

The 3V suggestion was just an attempt to make the series even more affordable to the consumer, now that SR-101 has been retired. INFI would be fine and so would an AD9, an AD18, an AD.......

out of the poll list, the battlesaw for sure. It will do everything.

There is a time when you grow up that the girl next door is the perfect girl. But you are always hunting for something better. Only to find out that the perfect girl was next door from the beginning. For me the only one is the first.
