Hypothetical survey. $100 to spend.

Probably a Spyderco Native and something cheaper with 440C from Benchmade. I really, really like BM's 440C. I carry that steel over my VG-10 steels I have.

Don't do either, Take your wife or girlfriend out for a fancy dinner instead, or Take the kids to an amusement park, Go visit your parents and take them out to dinner. Take your best friend to a baseball game. Just for no reason. You will remember these things much longer than some factory made knife with a 420 blade you will use a little and put in a drawer.
