I've watched my dad skin deer with a slip joint pocket knife. That top photo looks like a paring knife to me. But I'm no expert.

That would certainly do. I love cocobolo, I have a bunch at home, but for a working knife (all knives?) I like micarta.

Very cool even if it’s missing the nice swedges. I like swedges.

It has a very faint drawn swedge. Not as evident as the beauty you posted however. Hard to spot because of the patina
