I have read the exchange rules before, I know you have to have a Gold Membership in order to trade/exchange/buy/sell on the forum.

But, I have seen many threads where a non-Gold Member, Basic Member or even a default member has said, “I’ll take it, email me at so-and-so.com”

Can they do this? Is it up to the seller to decide if they want to sell via the forum or via email?

Don't need to be Gold to buy, or to respond to a want to trade post. But need to be at least Basic to create a want to trade post. Anyone can create a want to buy post, but only Gold and above can see other's WTB posts.
 
Holy cow, now I’m really confused...

When I first joined, I thought you had to be a gold member in order to buy a knife, from a thread like I posted.

But you actually don’t? You just have to be a basic? o_O:oops:

Don't even need to be Basic to buy...anyone can buy. But since registered users can't PM, that's where email addresses come into play.

So where do I post a “wanting to buy” thread? There are so many sub-forums, this place is huge, lol.
 
I guess since this is in the “support area” there is no need to create a new thread.

I am still receiving emails from BF’s, even though I have the revive emails off. Why is this?
 
So I have to turn off the “and recieve email notifications” on every thread I want to watch?

I already had everything else turned off.
