I actually found a GEC knife I would buy

Yes, these are a useful and indeed very likeable knife that can carry out a lot of tasks, compact but comfortable in the hand . Don't use the sheath much as it's an indoor knife here.

I have an orange handled one that is my rabbit hunting knife.. Perfect size and blade shape.. Light weight too.. Soddie fixed blade..;)

It sure seems like it'll be a great handy knife for EDC tasks.
I'll be making a simple left handed sheath of course.

Honestly the factory sheaths with the snap sticking out the side look weird anyways, a basic friction fit sheath should be just fine.

How is it holding up for you now that you have one?
I love it and carry it all the time.

Before they decided knives were evil ( won't get Into it here ) it was just about the perfect work knife.
The clip sheath allowed me to move the knife wherever most convenient depending on what I was doing and if I was wearing a coat...ect and the blade cuts so well.

I often clip it on my belt when I get off work if I didn't have a belt knife already chosen for the week.

Good to hear. And yes, Clip sheaths really are the greatest. Lol

Yes, it is. That's my only gripe with the whole setup. The clip looks goofy with such a big loop in your pocket and it whacks stuff.
Id be afraid if its in my pocket Ill walk too close to my truck and scratch it up! Its good on a belt though
