Great batch of Benchmades in these pictures. I'm thinking the value of just what is in the pictures has to be $25,000+.

That's easy to do on these forums. I've seen individual people post photos of Randalls and also of Spyderco Sprints that could add up to quite substantial amounts. Knife collecting doesn't have to be expensive but easily can be. I take comfort in knowing that I spend a lot less on knives than people in my neighborhood do on their bass boats that just sit in their driveway.

And curses (just kidding of course) on you guys posting photos of 730's. Now I'm going to have to try to find one of those that I can afford.

It's too bad they don't make a normal production version of the 730 anymore because it's a great knife. The dealer I got mine from still has some as of right now. Let me know if you're not aware of which dealer it is.

I received the bedlam duo so here goes:

The manual bedlam is a beast of a knife. I am pretty much focusing all my attention on custom and midtech knives now but the Bedlam put benchmade back on my radar.

The first photo has my older Benchmades:

I love your 690 on the far left! The 690 was my first good knife I ever got, back in 2003 (2004?). I carried that baby for years as my EDC. I had the one with compressed wood scales, it was a first production model IIRC. I had a friend who had eyed it for a long time, and when he got married I was broke so I gave it to him, leaving me without an EDC knife!

Looking at it now it's a design that is classic but lacking in many features. I'd still love to get another though.
