I always wondered how one of my knives would look in a Paul Long sheath...

Salem that is an amazing knife. I had the privilege to meet Mr. Long last week during my travels in Texas, I must have just missed getting to handle your Fighter. Paul definitely makes the best sheath out there!

Wow, Salem! Beautiful. I am honored that you take the time to share your advice with folks like me.

Patrice, this is not a solicitation for business, but I am happy to ship to Canada.......and on that note, please take the time to look at some of the sheath work of Stuart Branson, one of your fellow Canadians. His work is nothing short of outstanding! stuartbranson@shaw.ca

Paul

Thanks Paul. I promise that I'll have at least one sheath from you for one of my knives. Even if they are not worth it.
I did not know about Stuart but as you say, he does incredible stuff. I'll look into it some more.

Thanks again and now we return you to the praising of Salem and Paul's work. :D

Salem, I keep coming back to this knife. I was wondering if there was a reason for the placement of the Thong Tube?

Ryan, that's funny. If you go look at a Charlie Ochs' "special forces" bowie, you will see that the handle and fittings are designed and placed very much as they are on this one. When asked to do a spin-off knife in my style, the blade changed for sure, but I left the thong tube in that position. I wasn't sure to start with, but after a while saw it for the unique, characteristic, and functional thing it is.

I really appreciate the comments of everyone who has viewed this. It means a lot that you all think it's OK. Of course Mr. Long's work is excellent as always.
