Know that scripture, Luke 15:8-9?
8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one apiece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

Well, I know that this is really a parable about men's souls, but today it is literally fulfilled. Two months ago I lost a knife. Not just any knife. A three bladed Damascus folder by Bailey Bradshaw with engraved blosters and incredible stag. And I have been turning things over everywhere and finally convinced myself I had lost it for good. Time to donate to "Friends of Scouting" I pull out the hat I got last year for donating (way too much) and there it is. How it got there I will never know.

I guess that means I have to donate to FOS again. And I guess this is my equivalent of calling my neighbors and sharing the news.

Nice pics by Bob Glassman.

As a knifeknut and scout leader, I see two great things happening there. You found your knife (and a nice one it is!) and you are sharing your means with the scouts. Great outcome all around!

A touching tale.
And good on ya for seeing the bigger picture.
