I am a Manix 2 fan

I have a Manix 2 XL and a Manix 2. Both are black G10 with CPM S30V satin
blades. The XL is the car emergency knife and the regular one gets the nod
for camping / heavy use. I love them. I prefer to EDC a Lil Native for work
and a Para 2 in M390 off work because they are lighter and handle light
work effortlessly. The only downsides of the Manix are how wide it is in
pocket and the heavy weight...but in the hand they are serious cutting tools
and probably the most premium and bang for the buck folders for heavier use I
want to own. They are fantastic! They are also very attractive!
A must own blade in my opinion. Just like the Para 2. Everybody needs one of each!
 
Yep, the Manix 2 is a great knife. It gets smaller in the pocket as it gets carried. I don't use the clip, but drop it in my pocket, instead. It takes up a lot less room that way. Clipped, it blocks the opening of the pocket a little. I have a back lock (favorite overall), and two light weights (S90V and BD1) that see a lot of use and carry.

My Manix family, every one a winner. I use the lightweight as a work knife and everyday knife, the G-10 as a travel and "good" knife and the XL as a day hike and serious knife. I love the CBBL and I've converted 100% from my PM2s. As a side note, I'm really starting to appreciate S110V, sharpens easier than everyone says and stays sharp.

I know one custom scale maker atleast has made a carbon fibre handle for the manix 2lw. It was outstanding. Fully knives demand cf!
 
I find myself pocketing one of my M2 LW's more often than other knives, regardless of model. This knife just does most things well.
 
I haven't had a manix in years...they still do the heavy jimping at a few places on the handle?
