I am not trying to make everyone go through the Strider thing again, but I didn't know about strider's past untill two days ago. right after buying my second strider. I'm not an expert in knives, but just an ordinary guy who likes knives and liked strider knives. I know that it's all up to me wether to keep buying strider or stop buying them. Is there anyone in this forum who have decided not to buy strider because of what he did? what what reasons was that? Please tell me.

Are you kidding? With all the threads on this subject, all the drama, all the grand declarations, why would you need another discussion to rehash what's been said too many times already?

I hope this gets moved to TGTBTU.

i lost my mind once
it rolled off behind the rocks
now it's only mud

if someone finds it tell me
i'll try to clean it again

I was afraid of someone might say that and it happed from the very first reply. I'll read those threads more carefully and decide by myself Mr.Benyamin. Like I said in my previous post that I wasn't trying to make you go over this whole thing again, but I think I just did.sorry.

A lot of the time when I buy a custom knife, and I have had a bunch in my life,I "buy" the maker and most of the timeit has been a rewarding experience.
I have also bought knives from guys that have at a later time become real jerks.I ended up with those persons knives not being in my collection. That being said I do not own nor do I plan on buying any of the knives that you mentioned.Just my opinion

Bottom line, if you have bought the knives and are unhappy, sell them. If you are satisfied, then keep them. It's up to you. Read the threads and make up your own mind.

I have a few Striders on order and plan to buy them. This whole "discussion" hasn't damped my lust for Strider knives in the least. Why let others make such decisions for you.

Once again the whole matter was over Mick Strider, not Strider Knives. If you said "I need a tough as nails workhorse folder, will Strider do??" I would say yes, if you asked "Would you shake Mick Strider's hand??" I would say no. I hope that helps, but that being said I am selling off my Strider SMF. I want to be proud of the steel I own,the japanese said that a piece of the maker's soul goes into every blade he makes.

I've madeup my mind not to sell my striders. I'll buy another if I want to. I read some threads about strider and I know he has done a few bad things, but at least he is not a murderer. I'm sure that he loves knives and he puts alot of effort to making his knives. If I hear bad news about strider again, then I think I'll give up.

It really depends on the reasons why you bought the knives. If it's just because of the knives, why sell them? They are still as useful as before.
But if you bought them because you thought they were made by a super-hero and you wanted to have a piece of that cake, it's different.

I admit that I bought my Strider 50% because of the man behind the product and I sold it as soon as I found out what's going on.
Hype is contagious, especially in a community full of liars and hardcore koolaid-drinkers. I learned a lesson for life. I'm still young - the earlier the lesson, the better for my wallet in the future.

Don't sell your knives because others tell you to. Make your own decision. After all, they are your knives.

Thank you for your opinion DocArnie, Like I said in my last post I'm not going to sell my striders. The reason I bought them is because I liked the design, made from a high quality steel, very thick full tang blade, and also they are not mass production knives made by robots. 90% from the specifications of the knive. Nobody is perfect. If I hear any bad news about this maker again, I'll give them to my dog.
