I have tried unsuccessfully for about the last two hours to try and manipulate HTML and place adsense where i want it to go.

I am trying to place a Google ad skyscaper to the right of my page which is here

I have tired to ad the HTML text that google gives you to about every place it can go in my template. But no matter what I do I can NOT get it to show up on the right side of the page... so frusterating

Could anyone plz point me in the righ direction?
Do i have to make another sidebar?
    or create another table?
So lost and alone, new to a world in which i know nothing.

Well, it does need to go in another sidebar, but creating another sidebar has to be done very specifically, as that page uses CSS and div tags to control the layout. You can't just paste something in and expect it to go where you want.

If you go to http://alistapart.com or http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/ you should be able to get a good amount of info.

Basically, those 2 bars "float" to either the left or right. I think adding a third floating bar may not be easy until...CSS3, I believe.

You could move the left bar to the right side, then move the adsense to the top. Another potential option is "position:absolute" code. You can use it to make an object stay exactly in one place.

I use it at http://celtek.org/links.html for my page list. If you use opera or mozilla, you can see what it can do. IE doesn't work right with that code.

Good luck with it, it's always a learning experience.
