I posted this also on the USN:

It's hard to convey how sorry I am.
I have never had a knife ZT.
After reading the reviews about them on various forums, I concluded that they are of excellent quality. And with no problems. So, what I saw when I opened the box with a knife.
I have to say, this new knife, they were never used, my experience allows us to determine this.

So:

Easy game blade horizontally and vertically. Very easy, but I hate it. No good soft opening, open a few times soft, then no soft. Then again, gently. :gaah:

I decide to take it apart to try to fix it. I take off the G10 and see it. I think this should not be on the knife for $ 200.

I think this treatment, a frame-lock, too, should not be.

Once I had to re-greased, horizontal blade game disappeared, the vertical was less, but it still is.
I bought this knife in Russia, and I can not get it back. We have other laws. I'm afraid to send it ZT, to solve the problem.
Guys may infuriate fans ZT my words, but I'm telling the truth, I am upset as the knife is made. I do not forget that this is just a tool for cutting, but I was hoping that it would be better made.
Guys, I really wanted for a long time to buy this knife. I am very sorry that I got probably the worst instance of .
I wrote about this issue, contact support, I hope the engineers will tell how to solve my problems.

You have laws in Russia against returns? Surely not! Why are you afraid to send the knife for warranty work? The knife is very well made in my experience so far. The service of the company is good based on two members of the company talking with me on my break in worries. They were right and my knife is perfect now. I have no scratches or rasp marks on my knife. Are you sure your knife was new? It looks like someone took a file to it. Did you take a file to it?

More recently, in Russia Prohibited to send the knives in the international departures. At the customs check, not all packages, but if they find the knife, he seized or will not be allowed into the country. I'm just afraid of losing the knife.
I do not want to deceive you, I am sure that this is a new knife. I'm sure it was just an accident that can happen to anyone. I just need help.

P / S Drop me a PM if you're interested, I can tell a lot about the laws, I think you'll be surprised ....

Thanks, bro!
But it is only one solution to my problem.
And that gave me a difficult discovery. Now the knife is very difficult to open, and there is no horizontal play. If I relaxed a little screw that will open the knife a little bit better, but the game will be the blade. I think need to change the copper washers. Where you can take them? I have another question, the stop pin, is very tightly into the holes. Maybe it gives the curvature of the handle?

I apologize for my English. I use Google translator.

You are communicating brother. Thats all anyone should want!

So you can't ship a knife internationally. Even to receive warrant work? wow. The store that sold to you can ship or they wouldn't have any to sell. Maybe they can ship for service for you?

If find a knife, I can lose it, it's a lottery. I can not return the knife in the shop. Believe me, this is not possible. Frankly, I was mtsocom 2011, I sold it to buy a 0550. I decided that zt is a lot better. And I'm sure that's true. I'm sorry, the only knife are rejected from all zt, it got me.

Guys, what is said in this video? Maybe this is the solution to my problem?

I've got to say, that 0550 doesn't look very good. There are a lot of cosmetic/function defects (from looking at the pictures) that I haven't even seen in many Kershaw/ZT factory seconds. I really hope you find some way to either send it in for warranty work or find a way to fix it on your own. We're definitely here to help.

I'm thinking the shop you bought it from sold you a used unit. And if there is no way for you to return it and they know that, there is no recourse for their actions

I'm also surprised the knife from the outside looks like new. It is not, no scratches. The blade is very sharp. For all the screws, lock the thread. When I looked inside, I was very surprised. I'm 100 percent, these lesions were at the plant are made. Maybe someone had a bad day.
I understand that when I make out a knife, I lost the warranty, and the guys from ZT can not even answer me.

Hmm I'm not understanding that last sentence. If you're referring to taking apart the knife, that does not void the warranty.

How can you bee 100% sure this happened at the factory? There really is no way for you to know that, unless you picked it up there yourself.

I'm not saying that is not the case but to say your 100% sure is a fallacy.

This is great news!

You're absolutely right. I made this conclusion based on the appearance of the knife and its packaging. Of course I could be wrong.

Are you trying to contact them outside the forum? Have you contacted their customer service?

Yes, I wrote to them today. I hope they will answer me.

If you bought and paid for a new knife, then that's what you should have received. I don't doubt your assumptions. Was this purchased from a dealer or private party?

I'm not sure that there are dealers in Russia. I bought it in a private store. in the Russian knife forum, there are a few of these stores, which sell goods from US.

You bought this knife at guns.ru ? Which seller? Did you try to communicate with that seller?
