I am disappointed in the 0550

This is unacceptable. I just fail to believe this came from the factory this way. I have a 301 Blem and it's in way better condition then this. They made it a blem, because of a tiny nearly invisible spot on the blade. I just don't believe that ZT would have even let this one(Your 550) out of the factory like this, if they considered my 301 a blem. I think you got ahold of a bad dealer or something, or perhaps it was a used knife. I could be wrong about it happening at the factory, but if you contact ZT I'm sure they will take care of it.

Good luck, man. By the way, how's Russia? :D

Let's please keep the discussion on topic and leave the political opinions and analysis for the proper venue.

Are these knives (this one and the one with the pitting) fakes?
The pattern on the handle looks like it's stamped a little weird, too.

Sorry, my bad.
I should have known that too, I own an 0551.
This one appears to me to be CNC milled rather unevenly.

I would email all your pics you have posted on this thread Kershaw After you talk to ZT via email. From the pics you've post some of the parts look way past normal

quality control minimum standards.....let alone some that shouldn't have left ZT!! As other posters have said the scales are milled not stamped.

In your email to them I'd ask ZT to call You on their toll free line instead playing tag with back and forth emails X 10 or 15.

Maybe anyone knows..
Is there any second quality lines from ZT besides blems marked XXXX? I have seen a ZT0300, that had a deep scratch in the inner side of Ti scale. Could it be some kind of mark? Overall knife is good, but not very even sharpened - on one side the width of the bevel of the edge was two times thicker than on another side, and some kind of wavy. I think it will not be an issue for most of users, and for me it is not an big issue. Besides I am very picky :) That knife did not have XXXX marks on a blade.

Also one friend of mine has a ZT 301 repaired at ZT customer service. That knife has a X -shape scratch mark in the inner side of ti scale. That scale has some issues, and not the same quality as on new knife, but still good enough. Those guy abused his knife and ZT customer service could not be more kind as to repaired it free of charge. So he is happy.

And the khtima`s 0550 has scratches hidden in the handle. Could it be some kind of marking from ZT for the knives with some minor issues?
