I am going to get 2 spyderco knives...which of these are the best introduction.

Right now I am just thinking about getting only a PE delica and using that as my exlusive EDC (I like bonding with certain knives and not switching up). Is there anything that significant with the native III that would make it a good idea to buy it if I already have a delica.

My edc for 6 years has been endless variations of Endura and Delica. Right and left carry.

The native is not my favorite Spydie. It is good but I prefer the hump thumb ramp on the endura and delica. ALso the finger choil on the native was not comfortable for me.

Good luck

Chris

The one thing I like about having an Endura and a Delica is the size option.

If I am going out at night to the super market or something, I'll take the Endura. If I am going to university or a job or someone's home I take the Delica.

On certain trips I take both and switch the clips so one is a right hand carry and the other is a left hand carry.

That sounds like a perfect combination. I think that is exactly what I want to do
PE delica 4
SE endura 4

I hear the SE is perfect for the endura, like a mini saw i guess!

Add one Jester to your order and put it in your keyring, sure is going to be the most used one ;-)

I'm not a big fan of the look of the wave unfortunately. I just love the traditional shape of a spyderco.

Still haven't ordered yet which means I'm still thinking about possible combinations.

I could get a PE delica with a PE benchmade mini-griptillian for 16 dollars more... am I better off just sticking to the PE delica and SE endura option?
The axis lock on benchmades intrigue me...

Dang...the question is..is it smart to spend the extra 16 dollars and get the mini-griptilian 556 instead of the spyderedge endura 4.

The Delica and the Endura are two of the all time best sellers so they would be a good start. You could probably find the Endura used for less on E-bay. The Delica 4 is much better than the Delica 3 but the Endura 4 is not that much better than the Endura 3. That is just my opinion but I would get a PE Delica 4 and a combo edge Endura. Combo edges don't get any arespect but in a larger knife like the Endura, they are great. In a small knife, they don't make any sense.

Actually if it were me, I would get the new Caylpso 3 when it comes out in a few months and then see if you need another to fill another niche. That Calypso 3 is going to make a great Delica beater. It will cost more but it will be worth it.

Thanks for the support guys...I wish the calypso 3 came out sooner! I have had my sights set on getting a spyderco for a while now and I am getting quite impatient (and I dont want to carry a speed-safe around with me because its illegal in my city).

Is this calypso 3 the one with the burgandy handle? It is coming out near October?

thanks bh49! Looks nice with that g-10. I think I will just stick to the Delica 4 Endura 4 combination.

Just checked further into the wave feature..WOW! My lineup is now
Waved Delica 4 and SE endura 4.

nice call death's head!

P.S. arn't all waved knives in the grey colored handle? Other sites I checked said that they are but a different site says black...may be just a mistake.

Buy those two immediately! :D Perfect combo for your introduction into the world of Spyderco.

Good luck and have fun.

Unfortunately I cannot buy them yet I have found out...I am 16 and my mother thinks I have bought too many knives in a month and I have to wait a while to get more (i only bought 3 this month)..The sale of waves are here to stay right? they arn't limited edition are they? Well she now has complete control over my spending money (not my money i made from work) but from selling items on ebay. damnit!:(
