I am looking for a fixed blade for Christmas for under $100

I was in the same boat...got an Ontario RAT-5 on the way from Cumberland.

4.5" blade = RAT-5
6.5" blade = RAT-7
10" blade = RTAK(II)

They have the -7 for $79 (1095) & $89 (D2) your choice. The RTAK is only $74. Wish the -5 was avail. in D2 w/o the logo or black scales.

Light choping and under $100.00, check out the Kershaw Outcast in D2, hard to beat that one.

Wow! Those are great prices. Wonder how they can sell them so cheaply? Have you bought from them before?

I have, and I have a Rat-5 on the way from them right now. I believe they are supporting members here at BFC, at least they use to be IIRC.

Cool. I have a Rat-3 which is indestructible. I've been thinking about getting a Rat-7 but this clinched it. I just put in an order. Thanks for the tip. Hmmm, now I wonder if a Rat-5 is in my near future. Where did I put that "Magic 8 ball"?

Looks cool, but the ten inch blade is a little longer than I was looking for.

I think I have it narrowed it down to a Scrapper 6, a RAT-7 (D2), or a RD-6. I don't think I will get the BK-7 as if I had one of the knives metioned above, I think it would not see as much use as the rest (and that would not be fair). Any suggestions from there?

I LOVE the feel of the Scrapper 6's Resiprene C. better than the micarta of the Ranger RD 6. As much as I like my RD 6, I LOVE my Scrapper 6 more.
