I am Macemus!!!!

Very nice! By the way, I recently had a son and had to rip you off by naming my son Mace.

Allen

That is a great quote, and about the best compliment some one can give.

Mr. Mace Sir,
Can you tell me what stain/varnish you used on the birdseye maple? It is gorgeous!

I've seen Macemus in a toga - far more terrifying than this sword.

"MY EYES! THEY'RE BURNING! MAKE THE BAD MAN PUT CLOTHES ON!!!!!"

Nice sword, bro.

I'm talking about the Gladius, now...

Thanks so much fellas!

Matt, we ALL know what your talking about!

Allen, Not sure what to say, but I am flatterd!

O.K. a little more info on the sword.....
I call it "Arivaderci" (not sure of spelling), The blade is 21 6/8" with an OAL of 29 5/8", the bal. pt. is about 4" in front of the guard.
The handle is some BIG birdseye from Bill Morans shop(some of the hardest wood), I used brown leather dye cut with a little alcohol to stain it and then finished it off with some "true oil". Stained and sanded about 3 times and then several coats of oil.
Thanks again for all the nice comments!
Macemus
