I am reformed....

Ok, so I've been using the PM2 for a couple of weeks now. Fantastic knife! Here's the "problem" I'm finding though....

I love the finger choil on the PM2. It just really locks the knife in place in your hand. The problem is the ergonomics between my PM2 and my Tenacious are just close enough when in the closed position that I find myself starting to instinctively move my index finger from the flicking position to the choil on my Tenacious....which, oh by the way, doesn't exist. So far, I've managed to catch myself every time before getting bitten by the blade, but it may only be a matter of time.

Looking at the other Spydies I either have en route or am considering next, they all have the built in finger choil like the PM2. I had plans to purchase all the knives in the budget line to have the "full set," but if I'm just setting myself up for a lifetime of cuts on my index finger, I may need to reconsider....

The choil is better for detailed work and I prefer having one. I haven't grabbed for one on my Tenacious yet, or even been tempted to but I can see how that might happen.

The Para Military and the CQC7 have spent more time in my pocket more than any other folders.
If Spyderco ever made a chisel ground folder, I'd no doubt EDC this one the most.

Started with a FRN Native. I now have 3 Spydie packs filled,my latest purchase was the Kiwi 4, an awesome gentleman's knife.

I, too, started with the Tenacious. Six months later, I still couldn't resist the urge to buy a PM2. I ended up selling my Tenacious to recoup some of my cost. Even though I have a Military, PM2, Southard, etc. now, I still regret not having my Tenacious. It was a great first Spyderco. Also, knowing the guy I sold it to broke 1/4 of the blade off trying to pry with it bums me out a little.

That is a bummer.
