I am sad I lost a knife.

I can't believe you just posted this! My 300 dollar Emerson just went missing yesterday. I carried that thing for over a year without ever letting it leave my side. Then I reached in my pocket yesterday and it wasn't there. It's driving me crazy! I think its around here somewhere...

I lost a large regular Sebenza with a swedge while helping a lady change her tire on the side of the road and although I have replaced it with a 2003 Large Regular Sebenza without a swedge I am still very pissed about losing that one. And that was a $500.00 or so dollar knife. The pain will never go away. All you can do is try to replace it. I called CRK and they no longer offer the swedge as an option to put on a large regular so I am left without my beautiful swedge. Everytime I drive by that spot I wonder what happened to it and if some 12 year old is digging up some grass of something with it. Replace it with something that is as close as possible to what you lost, that is my advice. Take care.

I FOUND MINE! Yes! I sat on my rocking chair out front for maybe first time ever and must have used it for something. There it was.

Search tip: What did you do that was unusual?

See, tha is actually the bizarre part. The last time I saw it was camping about 2 weeks ago. I was wearing my rsk mk2 fixed so I clipped the ripple in my pack and zipped it up where it would be safe. I don't remember it being there when I got home. The entire camping trip was a new experience and I was all out of wack. I think I am going to go flip the couch and recliner over just in case!

I was kicking my self for losing 2 knives in two days. Drove me nuts. About 5 days later, one of them shows up in the pocket of a pair of pants. The next day, I found the other one in my car, it had slipped out of my pocket. There is hope! I hope you knife finds its way back home.

This is the main problem with knives in pants. This is why pants should be outlawed.

Pay a knife maker to add a swedge if you really like them. Shouldn't cost much and should be a quick and easy addition. I bet Tom Krein would do an awesome job making it like you want it.

It sucks loosing a knife! I lost a Buck 055, missing for about 3 years, my mom found it in her couch. Then of course not long after that I lost my Scrapyard Dogfather, still a little perplexed on where it went!? It's hard to misplace a large fix blade like that!

The best way to find a missing item is to purchase an identical replacement.
It's some obscure sub-section of Murphy's Law that very few people know about.
For example: my wife lost a pair of sunglasses.
Missing for about 4 months.
We bought the same pair this weekend, and what did she find this morning tucked in the back of her sock drawer?

Yup. It's like that.

It'll find it's way back to the rim of your pocket soon enough.

That's the truth too. I have given my son at least 5 items I had "lost" and bought again, only to find the lost one.

I had just about given my Endura up for lost when low and behold...there it was in the works of the recliner. I even looked in there...very well I thought. Perhaps it'll turn up.

I feel guilty talking about how I found mine. I hope you find yours!

No worries. I know we have all lost one at some point. Some may be found, and others lost forever. I actually still remember a Buck knife I lost at work about 10 years ago. I was stocking a shelf and laid it down....never saw it again. I will get over it...... someday.

I feel for ya, buddy.
I thought my wife lost my 2nd fave EDC flashlight this weekend. (Roughly $60 unit. They still make it, but not in the exact config of mine.) My first thought was - I hope whoever finds it appreciates what it is and puts it to good use.
Turned up this morning in a pile of her stuff.

It's sad, and I always hate to lose something like that. But for $40, if I liked it that much, I'd buy another. Then if/when the original turns up I have a spare/beater/gift for a friend.
Here's hoping it turns up in a few days and you don't have to.

I lost my CQC7V last Friday - The wife had bought me a new pair of shorts & She hates the way the corners of the pockets wear out due the tight clips pulling the threads...I slipped it into pocket of the shorts.
We along with another couple had dinner. while walking back to the truck. I checked myself, No knife! In the few minutes it took walk back into the restaurant. Explain to the wait staff & manager I may have lost a tan folder... It vanished. I then second guessed where I may have lost it.
I checked the truck the parking lot where I exited the vehicle. No luck. I retraced my steps at home.( several times ) nothing.
I called the restaurant and told the manager If the knife is found, I will pay a $100 reward.
The pain had subsided until I found this thread. It is was it is....I hope the new owner keeps it sharp.:(

I misplaced a knife a few years back. I'm pretty it's in the couch in my basement, but to get to it I would have to go at with a knife and a hammer. This couch has been known in my house to swallow up items to never be seen again. Torture really, to be so close and yet so far.

I lost my CRKT M16 in 5ft of snow at my friends house. But after a month I found it! In great shape(considering the circumstances). I have recently ordered a new pocket clip since it had slipped out of my overall pockets because of no pocket clip.
