It's in the 30s here and I'm freaking cold in my shop :( :(

It's supposed to get to the 50s or so but I'm still cold, good thing I'm hand rubbing blades today.

YES. YES. HA HA HA Well next time you mock us we will send you -30 and 3 foot of snow.
Its just 14 or so here today.

You're both spoiled. It's about 10 here, and yesterday it was -2. Less, with the windchill.

I've been colder, I've been in deeper snow.... I live in Alabama for a reason. It's up to 50ish and sunny now :)

-5 last night and 4" of extra white stuff on top of the 2" ice layer from the other night. That does it. I'm goin' back south where I belong!

Will, I'm sending my cows out your way to warm up. They told me yesterday they were sick and tired of all the white stuff. If I can make it to my shop I'm going to try and make some snow shoes.

I know how you feel. It's only the second day of winter, and I already feel like moving to Florida or someplace. :( On the plus side, it is sunny here.

Not much snow here, but we just had the worst ice storm I can remember. LOT'S of tree branches down, and the power has been off a lot the last 2 days.

Snow shoes for the cows? Kinda babying them ain't ya ;) Feel free to send them down here if you wish, my wife's family has a couple of parcels of land we could graze them on. I just wouldn't count on them coming back. :D

How's that water jet working in the cold? do you have to leave a faucet on to keep it from freezing up like we do at the house. :p

Where's Granger? We only got about 1/2" of ice. I guess I should be glad I'm not where you are.

Phillip, hope you didn't lose power like a lot of folks down your way. That ice was a pain.

I can do that. I'll bring them down and you can teach me how to grind and finish:)

That sounds like fun! Maybe this spring or summer, when I'm not in a bad mood... :)

But you have SNOW... I mean all those tourism board ads they run down here show people frolicking in the snow.... I know, you're tired from frolicking? I'm sure snow angels, snowmen, sledding and all that is probably tiring. :D

its got warmed up round here at last look 26
was 12 this morning and i have no clue what wind chill was
my shop clock has a temp reading on it and it went to LL guess it was bottomed out

You can talk about the cold and how much fun the snow is all you want to, but you will never convince me. My dad cured me of that a long time ago. One year the weather man was talking about it might snow, this was Bryan, Texas and it really never snows there. But he was talking 6 or more inches. I kept saying man I hope it snows and my dad kept saying no you do not want it to snow. I kept saying yes I do. Well it snowed about 6 inches and he woke me up at about 4:30 in the morning. At that time we had about 750 head of cows and I spent all day on the back of a trailor throwing hay to all of those cows while he sat in the cab of the truck where it was warm. All he kept saying all day long was "I told you that you did not want it to snow" and then he would laugh. I have not wanted it to snow since.

Those cows look just like my dogs...

...what do they need the snowshoes for, anyway?:D:D

Out my front door is more than 36 inches of snow, the temp has not been above 16 degrees for a while, and the low was supposed to be down to -17 during the day. It is supposed to snow another 8" today, and more snow due every day for the rest of the week.

I love, and I mean love winter with snow!

I don't love having to turn the heat up, and leave the cupboards open, and the water trickling to keep the pipes bursting.
