I am sort of leaning towards smaller khuks

Does anyone here have any of the/ perefer any of the full tanged chiruwa style handles or not? Why?

YES!! I have a 16.5" Chiruwa AK with Rosewood handle slabs--even the chakma and Karda are chiruwa:thumbup: Excellent khuk--always the one I grab for hikes. Handle vibration has never been an issue for me with that particular khuk....

The thing about a small khukuri collection strategy is you can get more khuks that way. ;-)

I've started with a minimum 15" but now I just bought a 12" Chitlange from HI, and put out orders for a Biltong and a KK. I'll check 'em out and if I'm not too keen on 'em I'll just give them as gifts. Christmas is around the corner.

Hmm....I have a 15" and one 12" arriving soon. Yes that's what I am going to do as well. Get a bilton and a KK to fill the sizes.

Then.........I am going to get a 17-18 incher....1st choice BGRS......(BTW just missed one :( )

Plus different size chits. :)

Astro then you'll need a CBCK as well. The CBCK is a small khuk that was once ordered by the Chesapeake Bay (yacht) Club as a commemorative Khukuri for their yacht club. Uncle Bill told the story, the best I can remember it, that one of the members had a 15" AK and that he used it as part of the tools required to demolish the interior of their clubhouse when they remodeled it. The khukuri stood everything that was thrown at it without fail and impressed all the members so much that they all wanted a khuk from HI albeit a smaller one.
They're lovely little things.;) :D

CBCK ? Have to search for it a bit.........haven't seen one before. :o

I like to get a yangdu special. It has a blade shape like my bura and the more I hold that 15 incher the more I like it. :)

p.s. Yvsa have you tried heat pad on your back? it soothes, it worked for me .
