OK as many of you know we supply knives to several movie houses and production crews.

I have been asked to help on the next Steven Segal movie which will start filming very soon. It will be based on a story in Detroit so you can imagine what knives will work best.

I will need to ship knives to the production crew before the end of this month. Knives not used in the film will be shipped back to me. I am pressed for time and need all knives in my office by Friday of this week.

We are looking for highly tactical style folders, butterfly knives and any unusual fixed blades and tactical fixed blades.

We would need two of each knife but if you can't do that one will be fine. The reason for two knives is one is "live" for action filming and the other is "dead" or dulled, for scenes with the actors. Again 1 will be fine as we can film the action scenes first and the dead scenes later or I can sharpen the dulled blades on demand as I did for GI Jane.

Anyone wishing to have their knives sent for consideration by the director need to get their knives to me by Friday as I have to get the customs and importation documents in order.

We can not guarantee screen time but I did get a lot of time for knives I put into GI Jane, 6 Days and Seven Nights and several other films.

You can call me @ 1-800-956-4652.
The address to ship the knives to is:
WOW
Attention:props for Movie
5151 Sunbeam Road
Suite #4
Jacksonville, FL 32257

I will release more info on the film as it becomes available to me.

If I recall, Segal studied some Chinese arts, so the Sifu should appeal to him right off the bat

.

Funny thing about Segal: he turned down a CCW permit from Sheriff Baca of LA, who wanted to establish a "celebrity reserves" corps with guaranteed CCW (concealed gun carry permit) and reduced training times. Jay Leno also wouldn't touch this with a 10ft pole. Good thing, too - in addition to being a grotesque equal protection violation, the 20 people that DID go for the deal turned out to be major campaign contributors. Two were arrested for felonies, one after a guy chased some neighbors down the street in his underware at 2:00am waving a gun because they'd coathangered their way into their car after locking themselves out. Another clown smuggled guns into Mexico and got involved in a money laundering operation in Israel (WTF?).

The "executive reserves" (final name) unit was disbanded in disgrace less eight months after it's founding.

My regards to Segal for avoiding that ethics freakshow.

Cool, no? Mike, if you get a chance, point him to this thread

If Segal lives in California, he'll WANT a Sifu! And I don't mean for screen use...

Jim

If i see Mr. Seagal waving Sifus around in this flick, i'll be at the cinemas screaming "-i got one of those, i got one!!!" then... most probably i'd be carried out in my new white jacket with a lot of straps on it...

My knives!

If we see a SIFU being waved around in a movie - God help us! That's all we need. All the Sarah Brainless's in the world will be emailing the Feinstein and Schumer parasites for legal action. Hey REKAT, how about a class action lawsuit that you and the other knife manufacturers will have to answer for? A few hundred billion dollars shouldn't put a dent in your earnings right. I hope little Johnny's parents don't let him see the movie and get any ideas about "show and tell" at old Dumb-U-Down. I say, send the big time movie people some rubber training knives and an invitation to some sensitivity classes.

Then again, "Crocodile Dundee" didn't have any effect on laws regarding Bowies.

I think there's a world of difference between a Segal pic today, and some dumb teen exploitation flick back in the 50s featuring switchblades and the odd BaliSong.

I really think banning something based on a movie would be more difficult today.

Jim

Well chances are you will see the SIFU in the film. I will have some influence on which knives are actually used but I don;t make the final decision. I talked to the production crew today and filming starts on the 11st of August! The knives get there next week!

This will be fun!
