I apparently REALLY screwed UP

I have yet to read this entire thread but here is how the law works in regard to Chris Reeve knives.

Chris sells his knives directly to dealers bypassing distributors. This gives him MUCH more leeway than BM or Microtech had. What Microtech did was clearly not legal but VERY different from what Chris is doing. You can control prices on your products in many other ways then by just saying they must be sold at X price. I will be able to explain over the phone to any dealer directly who needs to know more info. I have already talked to Chris and Anne and they are not breaking any laws but a small slip in the wrong direction can be costly.

Yep, thanks teacher...I think?;)

I was very dumb with the Damascus, but it was bought as an EDC and now I have no excuse not to carry it!

As to the lack of response to my post... I hope all can see what I said was from the heart and very difficult for me. At the moment CRK are my fav knife company with Spyderco second. I love the products and service. However, I would understand if people pointed a wagging finger and said I did not have to pay the money if I did not want to!

However, I think they are worth every darn penny of hard earned cash! It is the philosophy underpinning this that I dislike. CRK sell very well and are fantastic products. I simply don't think there is any need for price control. At the end of the day as long as CRK gets the same profit per knife, what difference does it make? Perhaps it will affect direct sales from CRK? However other companies seem to get by.

One of the main complaints about the CRK range is price. If they were available at the normal 'internet' price we all pay for all the other makes, think how many MORE would be sold? Think how many more I could buy!;) . Perhaps this is not a good thing?

Mikes comments put this in perspective, thanks Mike!

I will for the record still buy CRK products, I still love the service and products. Someone once told me that "it is far harder to be critical of something or someone you respect and admire, than something or someone your feel indifferent towards". It was not easy to step up and voice this.
