I applied for a survival show

Well guys as the title says i actually applied for a survival show! I found out about it last minute and sent them my info. They liked it and asked me to shoot an audition video and now im waiting to hear back from them. I referenced the shelter contest we did back in December, and gave a nice shout out to ESEE in there as well. Now before i give you the video link you have to promise to go easy on me, it the first video ive ever made and its all in fun...... "I cant see you so im just going to assume you promised...." ok here i go...

Now remember you promised to go easy on me. lol. any how hope you guys like it. It was pretty fun and took hours of filming just to get the damn 4 min on video. My friend came down to help me film and we had alot of fun though. Thanks again guys.

Oh ya i almost forgot, I did say RAT cutlery not esee, so dont yell at me! lol. Its just easier to say on camera, and if you google rat cutlery esee is the first website you get. Hope fully its sends some more business jeff and mikes way. have a good one guys.
 
You did a pretty good job on your video. Any info you can give us on the show? Location? Senario? Who's filming it?
 
One thing I keep hearing in my head are some words from a guy I know, who said: "Be careful with television. Because, once they've got you on camera, they've got you."

Which basically means they can edit it anyway they want.

Good luck! If you get it, don't let them make you something you aren't.
 
thanks for the info guys. ya ive never applied for anything like this before, i just thought it would be fun to step out of the box ya know. As far as the show goes its out of the wild on discovery. last years out of the wild was the alaska experiment, this year it will be down in south america.

Best of luck with the audition!

I would rather see someone who represents an "everyman" than some sort of "former spec ops" type who has had specialized training in this stuff for centuries by the spirit of Davey Crocket himself.

really nice video, man. including the out takes there definitely helps show your personality.
 
It is good but you need a hook. An Australian or British accent perhaps? Or you could tell them that your unique survival philosophy is to never wear pants in a survival scenario because it puts you in harmony with nature. Instead insist on a nightwatch camo speedo for field work.
