...and 4 guys you don't know ... and Les Baer ... and my deceased B-I-L.

So now it seems I have to accumulate a high-end, great-shooting, great-looking M1911 .45ACP pistol.:o

It began with a Thread on this Busse sub-forum, to which Cobalt so authoritatively responded. Which is why this Thread is here.:)

I think it's long past time for me to try to pick up one ... just one ... of my old hobbies again. To reduce my enormous stress level. And maybe help me control what has been called "The Iron Fist of Death."

Still working on the details, but I think I'm going to have to talk Mr. Baer out of one of his wonderful pistols. Not sure which one quite yet.

Guess I'd better stock up on ammo.:)

And now, for some entirely unnecessary and unrelated Busse content:

OH no look out another bad habbit;):D I still blame Cobalt for some of mine too:)

WHat was really cool to me is we been hanging out long enough my friend that I think I even remember where you go most of the pieces above:eek:

THe SK you beat jaxx out of at blade 2008 I believe, the ak and ruck came from Easton, and that last not sure where it came from ( WY) but looks to have been Banned with killer pants.

You have amazing taste for such a brilliant scientist;):D

The new Les Baer Boss perhaps? with knives as impressive as the ones in your pics, one couldn't settle for anything less than a Baer to go with.

Wow Doc. I hope you don't have to sell any of those beauties to fund your Baer! Isn't that a silent knight?!

I sure do love my Thunder Ranch Special. It's really quite a bargain when you look at all the features that are standard...

Let us know which one you decide on!

It's true. KH knows!:D This is actually an OLD bad habit. One I've not had time for ... for about 20 years or so.

Might have gotten that last one from the amazing Jeremy Horton.;)

Really, I've got no taste. All those years in the military drained all sense of style out of me. Remember, I just wore the same darned uniform every day for ... I don't know ... something like 10,000 days in a row. I just ask my wife.:)

Or, occasionally, Skunk ... Tony G ... Cobalt ... Knife Hunter ... Jerry Busse ... Amy-0 ... Garth ... people like that.

Thunder Ranch Special? That's a great gun!!

I'm looking at a Premier II, maybe one of the Concepts, maybe a SAR or a UTC. It's all so confusing.:)

I have a feeling that beauty will never leave the family.

It would be hard! It has a special sheath from Dwayne ... made with the artistic contribution of my youngest daughter.

If it ever had to go, of course Jaxx would always have first call. After all, except for about one millisecond, it would have been his!

I still don't understand why no love for Wilson Combat? I mean "Busse Combat", "Wilson Combat" - they're practically related, no?

Anyway, I love my CQB, and have for quite a few years now. Enjoy whatever you end up getting!

I've seen a lot of love for Wilson Combat on this forum lately. I plan on moving out of the city I live in soon and plan to celebrate my constitutional right to bear arms by buying a Wilson Combat CQB. Glad to hear you like yours so much!

Heavens, Wilsons look great! Style + Substance.

But, I think I'll get all I can handle with a Baer. And save at least a few hundred dollars for that pesky knife-buying habit.:)

Hmm.

This "I'm getting a Les Baer" thing is more difficult than I thought.

Four e-mails just in ... nothing at the Inn.

Maybe I have to go right to Mr. Baer to find one??

Oh, my dear friend, be sure you at least LOOK at the Browns, just for me? ;)

But I am sure whatever you pick you will be happy with it. Just wish you could come out and shoot with me, and bring the wife as well!

Now...where'd I put that ammo? Time to try out the H&K and burn off a little stress of my own!!

Oh ... I'll look at those Browns!

Assuming I can find ANY high-class .45. Sheesh. Apparently, people have been buying these things up like peanuts, while I was busy working.

Had a Ed Brown Kobra Carry and just recently traded it and i am regretting letting it go. Baer's are nice but Brown's are nice as well.

OK - you know I have to chime in...THE SK STAYS IN THE FAMILY. He will order a Baer to get what he wants but he is not patient as we all know...so off to the local store. Now he has a Ed Brown = thanks AZSHAMAN - he got a great deal. While I got a Dan Wesson CCO - smooth and the grip works for me. Now we need to go to the range.

Wife is correct.

I could not resist this nice stainless Ed Brown Special Forces. Got a great price and it is as close to mint as anything I've seen.

Next stop, the range.
