Another consideration is customer service on any fixes. Both Wilson and Baer have better customer service than Brown. However, I would not let that deter me from getting a brown as the chances of getting a problem are minimal.
Wow - an Ed Brown stainless. What series? They're superb looking handguns with an outstanding reputation. So you've abandoned the Les Baer or are there going to be 2 new 1911's? Congratulations!
Ed Brown Special Force SS. Dan Wesson CCO. Both in .45ACP.
I've actually never handled and fired such smooth handguns. Both triggers are very nice. The Brown's trigger is maybe 3.5 pounds with just a bit of travel before it fires. The DW is about 4.5 pounds with a bit more travel, but it fires just as nicely.
Both slides are tight without being ridiculous. They rack very nicely.
Fit and finish of both is superb.
Really, best handguns I've ever owned.
Looks like about 20 weeks more before the Les Baer. A 'Boss'.
