I bought a CRK Pocket Slip for the office.

Carried my large Sebenza at the office last week and to my surprise the weight seemed ok. I don't like sporting a clip at work (otherwise I prefer it clipped to my pocket) so I bought one of the CRK pocket slips.

I am undecided on slips. I have tried with and without at the office. I think I am a no slip guy but when my knife rotates sideways deep pocket it irritates me. Slip doesn't seems to help.

I've tried to carry a couple of small uniques in a pouch. I can stand the knife being horizontal in my pocket. I carry my 13' unique with a clip.

I can't imagine carrying a large in a pouch unless it was in my rb pocket with my wallet, the pocket might be a little crowded tho.

It doesn't make sense to me to take a nice slim lightweight knife and put it in a big leather pouch and stick it in my pocket. Seems to defeat the point of a good easy to carry knife and generally make it a PITA to retrieve for quick tasks. YMMV.

The ONLY reason i do not take the clip off and just stuff my 25 in my pocket, is lint. I like the slips, wish i had a good reason to use em.

Me either, especially if you leave the clip on and put it in the pouch.

Of course, now that I have a mammoth Sebenza and a sweet snakewood Mnandi...I don't know if I want to tear up the fancy inlays.

I used to carry my African Blackwood Mnandi (my Friday work carry knife) without a sheath, then I decided I should carry it in the sheath for better protection. Other than that, no sheath.

I don't like carrying a knife clipped to my khakis or dress pants at work. Pocket sheaths actually help when carrying a heavier knife loose in your pocket.

I tried it with some of the fancy inlays but couldn't get used to it; the only things I carry on my right pocket are my crk's to prevent unnecessary scratches, unless it's a user

Agree. I don't own uber fancy inlays because I want to be comfortable using the knife. If I have to keep it safe, it's not the tool for me. I'd use a slip only of it makes it easier to carry.

I only pouch carry my inlayed Sebenzas, and even then only if I am in dress cloths. I much prefer to have my knife clipped.

I am one of those who will not own it if I won't use it; with the exception of 2 very special CRK's that stay in the safe. That said, I clip them all and only carry micarta or plain jane. As hard as it is to get that first snail trail and as hard as I try to avoid getting it, once it is there, it is a relief. That is when I feel like I can use the knife without worry. When they start showing is when the knife really starts to show her beauty. A sheath would limit all of those little badges of honor.

Sigh...

Me carrying the knife in the slip is not about keeping it pristine. It's only carried in the slip when I don't like the knife clipped to my pants (at my office in khakis/slacks). The pocket sheath helps the knife carry better in pocket.

If I wore a suit (hell, if I owned nice clothes ) I'd be right there with you BMC.

That's the only time I use the slip too, when I'm wearing formal pants, it seems to carry better by keeping it vertical somehow. Do you guys take the clip off when using the slip?
