I bought the Buck 110 today

I bought a 27 dollar 110 at Wal-Mart and used it to hack thorn branches off hiking trails. (light stuff really not hard to cut at all) For about a month and while the blade never gave any problem, the knife quickly developed a fair amount of play. Side to side and vertical- is this normal with the 110? Or did I get a cheaper one cause it came from Wal-mart?
I've went to a Kershaw Storm (the biggest model) and it's been used harder and is still tight as new after over twice the use.

One of the great things about the 110 is going to the Buck website and building your own. I'm really partial to the BG42 models, althought the geometry on the 420HC is so good, they're a breeze to re-sharpen. They are among the sharpest NIB knives that I've ever handled.
