I bought this axe head for $20. Project or paperweight?

So I took my axe out to a cabin we rented for a few nights. I gave it a pretty decent test chopping some logs I found around the site.

The head of the axe stayed on tight and didn't budge at all. I was really doing some full on hits too. It was dry dead wood, and quite a chore to get through the parts that weren't rotten.

This project turned out slick! I like it. I’ve been poking around the axe forum for a while and have been following this thread. Cool axe you have now with a good story. 😎

Thanks, I'm really happy with how it turned out. I like this one so much I'm considering a 3.5lb Gransfors Bruk with a 35 inch handle, and possibly one of the smaller camp axes.

Excellent restoration. Congratulations.
In my country (Brazil), nothing of this level is found.
The best axes I have were all imported from the USA and the cost becomes high.
The only Swede I own is a Husqvarna.
