I built a forge out of an old grill.

Got some tools.
A Black&Decker Firestorm portable worktable for 70 euros
A belt sander for 80 euros
A bunch of different hammers for 30 euros overall
A vise with a turning base for 23 euros
A set of 3 metal files for 7 euros overall
A ratchet driver and 22 bits for 8 euros
And a radio with SD/USB input and decent sound for 35 euros.
I finished the nail knife. I forgot to harden it, but it's probably just iron anyway.
I got an idea for an art knife listening to some Disturbed songs.

I'm gonna get a round bar of steel, make a bunch of twists on it and forge it into a knife. I'll make a WIP when I get around to it.

Use a railroad spike for your "twist knife" .

That would be cool, but I think the sickness would be a better choice, because I think that is what knife making can become.

Does that Milling vice prehaps say Brown and Sharp on it anywhere? if so, It's worth a few hundred Euro's... or at least it was. hope you didnt crack it, If it
's still good, you may think about cleaning it up, and posting it for sale in a machinist forum.

The vise is certainly old, but the mechanism is still smooth. The identification plate fell off and it's worn to hell, but it's still laying around the forge, so I'll be sure to check it out next weekend. My brother says he'll find an anvil for me, but I've already got a message on the local newspaper. I'll find one.
