There is a simplistic greatness inherent in these blades.
Quality. Value. Made in America.
These are a few reasons that I continue to buy BK&T.

What about you?

Quality, value, keeping an American working class around, comfort, durability, usefulness, heritage (of sorts) and looks for me. Couldn't fit this in well in my list, but well heat treated 1095 is a big plus for me too.
Not to mention- Mr. Becker is just a great guy!

Cuz I needed to spend the price of a good used car on knives this year. :D

And because once I started my Becker collection I had to finish it.

'Cause the scales come off, making them easy to mod! :D

[And inexpensive enough that if I screw up a mod it doesn't bankrupt me!]

I buy them because I don't have to worry about them. When I need them, they are there and ready to work.
Simple as that.

Because they are sexy and they can get the work done ;)

quality, design... and Ethan seems like the kind of guy I want to grow up to be, very much like my grandpa

Because Becker knives are some of the best quality knives you can get anywhere, especially for the price point, and because Ethan, and the Beckerhead culture are fantastic!

Because they are realistically priced, well-designed, and do what I expect them to do.

Because they are made in USA out of 1095 which is one of my favorite steels.

Because even a small Becker like the BK11 makes you feel like you can take on anything.

They remind me a lot of Glocks. Not just because they're all black... but because they are simple, no frills, utilitarian, hard use tools. Do other knives(and guns) have better fit and finish? Sure they do. They also cost more.

I really like both the Becker knives and the ESEE knives. Both are great companies producing great blades. ESEE spends a little more on the fit and finish, handle material, and sheaths - and cost a little more out of the box because of it. Most of my Beckers probably end up costing more than the comparable ESEE blade because I always add micarta scales and in a few instances, have added aftermarket kydex sheathing options.

The Becker knives are just robust workhorses. Great quality, but not so fancy that you're afraid to beat the shit out of it lest you might scratch it.

I would like to see the rest of the Becker line up come to fruition from KABAR... I also think it would be nice to have something like a "Becker Pro Series" set that comes with the micarta and maybe a nicer kydex sheath. I'm a big fan of the ESEE 5, Laser Strike, and Junglas sheaths with the sliding retention screw.
