Great collection! Can you take another picture of all them stacked together to show relative blade thickness?
sure, i'll work on that when i get home. you want to see them side by side from the top?
also on a side note... to anyone who might be a little aprehensive about switching the handles around because of ESEE's disclaimer that they won't be a 100% pefect fit, i think ESEE is a little too modest about this. Every single set i switched out fits completely perfectly on the new blade, just as nice as the originals.
That's the difference between us and ESEE and Rowen. When I switched mine once just to see how I liked it, there was barely enough difference to catch a fingernail on. For ESEE and definitely Rowen, that's not acceptable. Pretty amazing QC.
I'd still like to see scales available with the disclaimer "These may not be an exact fit to your knife as scales are mated to each blade during production" or something. Because just as you did, knives get sold and bought with scales other than those they were made with which may give some the false impression that the scale fit is not "perfect" when in reality it usually is right out of the box.
Jeff says they're working on some scale swappable platform, but who knows when we'll ever hear anything about that.![]()
Been doing some shopping eh ? (lol)
Nice. Very nice.
We're mending. Still a little nicked. But, hopefully see your expanded
collection soon.
when i sold the 5 i made it very clear that the scales were from an esee 6, but you would never know it.
Purdy. BTW, didn't mean anything by the "just like you did" scale swapping and selling comment. When I reread it I can see where it may or may not have been taken with more meaning than was really there.![]()
I really like that ESEE 6.
