I can only have one: sm Sebenza or Mnandi?

i have owned many small and large sebbies and mnandi. if you had asked me a year ago your question, i would have said the small sebbie hands down. today, i will tell you the mnandi.

it is all a matter of personal preferrence. i have also transformed from liking 'tactical' to more traditional slippies and such. i do still carry my large and small sebbies, but i am starting to carry the mnandi more and more...

I think that both will perform very well for what they are made for. If the work is hard I can't think of a better pocket clip than the sebenza, it has 2 notches to keep it in your pocket. Loosing a knife sucks, especially an expensive one. The sebenza is dull and plain looking and doesn't really get ugly, because its never been real pretty. The mnandi on the other hand is superb, and is not just a very pretty gentleman folder, but can get down and dirty if need be. You don't have the double notch on the pocket clip, so you don't want to get it for hard work. Plus it is pretty, so you don't want scrape it up, then it will look worse than the sebenza.

It just depends what you are going to use it for.

I don't know if you can see them that well here but the Mnandi clip has grooves that keep it in the pocket. Not to mention it's very durable. I've snagged and bent two Small Sebenza clips and had to send them in, hasn't happened once with the Mnandi and I've carried Mnandis much more than the Smalls.

Wow guys thank you for the multitude of responses!!! It really looks like I cant go wrong with either blades... This will be a true EDC blade in an urban environment - when I'm in the country upstate I have my Busses and ESEEs.

With that said, there were a few monkey wrenches thrown into the mix over the past 24 hours....

Earlier today I discovered the Insingo Sebbies over on knifeart and I must have a small one! Talk about an ULTIMATE GRAIL of an edc  I have always been a fan of a sheeps-foot blade and I'm just in love. I hope the wait isnt too too long for the small ones to come back in stock...

Further, I got a chance to hold a large sebbie, small sebbie and umnumzaan at Paragon sports today and I have to tell you, I really love that umnum!!! It just fit my hand so nicely and that blade shape is just killer. I was really surprised how good the larger blades fit me as I was never a fan of the endura or full-size griptilian... I tell you guys, the larger blades just felt so good and were A LOT easier to manipulate than the small sebenza...

I am so stoked at how these guys felt that I think I am just going to sell some of my high-end fixed blades and take the plunge hard going for a mnandi, umnum and hopefully i'll have the dough for a small insingo when they come back in stock :D

Did that ramble even make sense? I think I'm addicted.

LOL! You are sooooooo hooked. I hope your pocketbook can survive. You've just found out that CR knives of all varieties are simply phenomenal products backed by a company that is second to none in service and support.

The Umnum is fantastic; the Mnandi is fantastic; Sebenza's are fantastic. Pick your horse and ride it!

Well guys, I guess dreams really do come true...

The love of my life and greatest woman in the world let me know when I got home today that she ordered me a Small Sebenza Insingo from Knifeart :D:D:D:D

I was going on and on about the Insingo, but that it was out of stock - so apparently she checked our internet history, found the website and signed herself up for email notification of when they were back in stock and, ding ding ding, quite incredibly today they were - what a sneaky sneaky girl :)

Anyway, I am so excited and just can't wait!!! The timing on the Small Insingo coming out just couldnt be more perfect - I can see carrying this knife 24/7 and like I mentioned before the sheepsfoot blade is by FAR my favorite profile of all time. I really thought it would be months before they were available again and I still cant get over my wife - Im cooking dinner tonight ;)

Thanks again to all you guys for the advice and pics to come :thumbup::thumbup:

Nice man!

She's a keeper. ;)

You're going to love the Insingo.

Congrats, TW! My wife bought me a Mnandi last week for my birthday. So, I guess we are both lucky that way!

I have both. While I really enjoy my Mnandi I would have to choose the small Sebenza if I could only have one. It is just so much more versatile. Still small enough too.

You should have received the small insingo by now! What are your thoughts? How many CRK have you acquired now?

BTW your wife is awesome. Can you have her contact me GF ? I've been telling her I want a small doggie paws sebenza for over a year now....=D

EDIT: I saw you posted pics on another thread on 6/1.
